now that it's almost time to install the supercharger for the final time, I want to make sure that I pressure test all of the hoses and fittings that will be underneath or behind it. anytime you assemble AN hoses and fittings, you should do the same. sometimes, they're easily accessible once installed and you can simply tighten or adjust them once the vehicle runs, but I would rather know that they are not leaky beforehand. pressurized fuel spraying on hot engine components is not usually great ▶3:34

2013 ZL1 dropped off making a horrible sound. this car had the LSA blower removed and an AGP twin turbo kit put on in its place. it also has larger injectors and fuel pump to support *some* E85 and boost (but not enough). it appears that the cam was installed a tooth or two off, or possibly the timing chain stretched, causing the valves to touch the pistons resulting in low/no compression. unfortunately, this thing needs a total rebuild. *bentune *hptuners *dyno *tuning *mustangdyno *dynotuning ▶4:13
new crate engine arrived this morning. old core engine is ready to go back. I'm waiting on a new pilot bearing to show up, so in the mean time, I'll be installing new injector seals. haven't really done a whole lot of 10 speed tuning, but I thought I had a pretty good grasp on them. This 2021 Chevrolet Camaro SS came along with a stage 2 Texas speed camshaft and full bolt-ons and presented me with a new issue. It had a dramatic 4-5 shift flare that I was able to get resolved by simply copying the 3-4 shift time tables and inertia tables into the 4-5 settings. Took a few minutes to sneak this Corvette on the dyno for a baseline pull before it goes under the knife. This car will be getting the full treatment with a camshaft, torque converter, fuel system upgrades, and a supercharger setup from A&A along with an improved radiator and exhaust system. it's been a long couple of days but I finally got the cam swap done in this 2017 Silverado. it received the stage 3 truck cam from Brian Tooley racing. of course that included a DOD delete as well as a phase limiter for the VVT phaser. 83200 triple disc converter from Yank was installed while the engine was out. after dialing in the tune and making decent power, I decided to inspect a spark plug before pushing this Camaro any harder. the plug showed signs of detonation. I decided to adjust the tune in an attempt to reduce the signs of detonation, but to no avail.
